Native Tucsonan Christopher Mason brings a unique perspective to the world of theatre lighting. After 26 years as an air traffic controller, he retired in 2017 to pursue his passion for theatrical design full-time. Christopher honed his skills at The University of Arizona, earning both a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2020) and a Master of Fine Arts (2023) in Theatre Production, specializing in Lighting Design and Technology.

His creative vision has illuminated stages for prominent local companies, including Arizona Repertory Theatre, Pima Theater, Saguaro City Music Theatre, and The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre.

Currently, Christopher shares his expertise with the next generation as an instructor teaching Lighting Design at The University of Arizona. He also serves as a Theatre Coordinator for the Pima Community College Center for the Arts.
